Product Overview
A good litter box is a non-negotiable when it comes to owning a rabbit. Rabbits need to have the ability to go to the bathroom freely and in private. This litter box provides both, it has a hidden entry for rabbits to easily enter and exit whenever they want. The YUSING Litter Box Enclosure is a great way to turn your regular litter box into a multifunctional piece of furniture, not just something you want to hide.
I am going to be walking you through some things I have noticed so far since owning this piece of furniture.
Pros :
Great privacy: The cabinet doors and hidden entry on this piece of furniture provide great privacy for your pet. This allows for your rabbit to feel more comfortable and safe while going to the bathroom AND it keeps the mess hidden.
Easily cleanable: We all know cleaning the litter box isn’t the most glorious part of owning a rabbit. No matter what type of litter box you have, it is going to be messy, but we want to get it done as quickly and easily as possible. This furniture confines the mess so that when you do clean it, you only clean one small area, not the whole room. Being that it is wood, it is very easy to sweep up the hay and poop and then spray down after.
Multifunctional: Not only is this piece great for your rabbit but it also provides shelving and a beautiful touch to your room. You can use it to hold books, decorations, pet supplies, and plants, the options or limitless and you can make it completely your own. I have chosen to use it as a nightstand by my bed and I love how it looks!
Cons:
Setup: My least favorite thing about this product was the setup. It wasn’t all that complicated but a couple of the images were hard to understand. Granted, this was my first time building a piece of furniture, but I would still recommend grabbing a friend to help you put it together.
My Conclusion:
Before using this product my rabbit Leo was just using a traditional cat litter box. Not only was there little to no privacy but it was also really messy! There was no way to contain the hay and poop that would follow him when he jumped out. I was constantly trying to keep the space around his litter box clean so the mess didn’t take over my whole room. As you can see, it was very exposed in my room.
Honestly, the litter box was something I was always ashamed of when people would come over. I would try to keep it hidden but there was never a great way to provide enough privacy for Leo while keeping my room aesthetically pleasing. I knew there had to be other options for litter boxes out there so I began researching. I had never thought about putting it inside a piece of furniture before until I came across this product. I am so glad I did because not only does it keep my room looking nice but Leo has never been happier!
